City Parking Garage Becomes Number One

PRM and Wattif turn the “Am Plärrer” parking garage into Nuremberg’s most EV-friendly facility

Braunschweig / Nuremberg – With 20 charging points, tailored pricing models, and an intuitive user experience, the “Am Plärrer” City Parking Garage is now the frontrunner for combined parking and charging in downtown Nuremberg. The project was realized in close collaboration with ParkRaum-Management PRM GmbH (Erlangen), with Wattif acting as the key technology and implementation partner. Within just eight months, this high-traffic city center parking facility was equipped with modern EV infrastructure – while remaining fully operational. For Wattif, the project serves as a showcase for how future-ready charging solutions can be efficiently, reliably, and economically retrofitted into existing buildings.

Future-Proof Charging Infrastructure for Urban Parking

Located at one of Nuremberg’s major traffic hubs, the “Am Plärrer” parking garage is among the city’s most significant urban parking assets. The objective was clear: to future-proof existing spaces for today’s and tomorrow’s e-mobility demands. PRM chose Wattif as its full-service provider for commercial EV charging infrastructure.

Together, the partners established a charging zone with 20 charging points on the second basement level. An additional charging space for mobility-impaired individuals is currently in planning. This makes “Am Plärrer” parking garage the public parking facility with the most charging points in Nuremberg: a true milestone.
